Web Developer/ IT Support in SOUTH MELBOURNE, Victoria

Niche Media a well-established publishing company, in the market for over 20 years is looking for a creative, enthusiastic Web Developer/ IT Support candidate to join our Niche Digital team in South Melbourne. This is a permanent position.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of Niche brands and websites while managing day-to-day tasks. Predominantly Mac OS, you will have excellent organisational skills, be great at multi-tasking, able to work to deadlines and work in a high-volume creative environment. The successful candidate would be digital-savvy, highly skilled and understand the digital space.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Developing and maintaining existing websites and forums
• Designing and hand coding eDMs
• Designing and developing landing pages for our campaigns
• Content population / migration
• General IT troubleshooting & support
• Reporting to and working closely with the IT Manager
You will have the following experience in:
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or software engineering
• 2-3 years working developing complex websites
• Deep knowledge of OOP and MVC
• Strong PHP coding ability
• Strong client side technology (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
• Experience working with WordPress,, vBulletin & IPBoard
• Experience with Responsive Design
• Experience with Source Control (GIT)
• Cross-browser testing and compliance

• A passion and keen interest in the publishing industry
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadline
• Strong communication skills
